Thank you for allowing my mother to see another glorious year. I thank You for allowing me to be her daughter. I see why You chose to pair us together in heaven. Thank You for all the circumstances that has shaped my mother into the resilient, loving and confident woman who raised me. Thank You for giving her the capacity and bandwidth to love me unconditionally. Thank You for the wisdom and drive You’ve given her. Her passion for learning and the constant desire for growth has spilled over onto me and I am eternally grateful. Thank you for the strong woman that You shaped me in her womb and blessed me to be her daughter.
I pray this year is one of new adventures of all kinds. I pray for more of You and less fear in her life. I pray this year is one of new beginnings in business. I pray for an outpouring if love from all those who surround her. I pray that this year is filled with unexplained miracles. The kind that can only be attributed to You and Your glory. I pray that her wildest dreams begin to manifest and new dreams begin to form. I ray that her trust in You grows tenfold. I pray for joy, unexplainable, undeniable, overflowing joy from the depths of her spirit. I pray this year that she knows how much I love her, no matter how much I fuss, she knows she’s my favorite lady. I pray she knows she’s a great mom, mommy and mother.
Thank you for the Phenomenal Woman I get to call Mommy!!!
The last few weeks I’ve had several conversations about the concept of soul mates. Some of them have actually gone differently than they have in the past. They actually believe in soul mates. most times I’ve met with “That’s just insane” or “How could you believe there’s only one person out there for you?” for the record I believe in soul mates. So much so that I believe God predestined me to be with one man in heaven and He may or may not have made me from His rib. At this point you may or may not think I’m crazy and I understand that totally but just hear me out.
Y’all, your girl was in a Clairol, Nice & Easy Campaign. Clairol had 100 women dye their hair with their newly formulated Nice & Easy permanent hair dye. They wanted to test if a new hair color would boost a woman’s confidence. Clairol has also been working on this new formula for years so they wanted the launch to be special, and I think it was just that. Here’s what they found out:
97% checked themselves out more
87% got more compliments
77% gave more compliments
70% said they were ready for anything
85% felt more confident
Now I’m not saying coloring your hair is going to solve all self-confidence issues, but I do see it as putting on make-up, a new lipstick or that outfit you love. When you do the slightest change it gives you a new outlook on yourself. Continue reading I’m in a Clairol Campaign
This year God has pushed me all the way out of my comfort zone to trust Him FULLY. Like not with just the small stuff, not just once in a while but like every second of the day and with BIG STUFF, like my rent. Most of you may be like “How are you not trusting Him to get your rent?” Well I’m a freelancer and up until the end of last year I had a part-time job that fully covered my rent. When my hours were cut significantly, my trust and faith were tested. I’m not going to lie I was panicking, I was doing everything I thought I should to figure out “What to do?” Continue reading Trusting God
